Creating an overall feeling of Zen was a design driver for this project.  The courtyard on the front of the house creates privacy for the master bedroom while offering a spa experience with a hot tub and sounds of water flowing in a fountain.  In the backyard, the dry streambed captures runoff from the roof as this house does not have downspouts and directs it into the lawn.  The lawn is expansive and green with slab steps for access up and down the slope. The trees and planting beds showcase different shades of green as well as white and purple flowers.  Grass grows between the joints of the paver patio integrating colors of green with concrete.
